This beautiful location is also known as Rancho Los Feliz (“Happy Ranch”). This is an affluent, hilly neighborhood in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles. It is noted for its expensive homes and celebrity inhabitants. The neighborhood is named after its colonial Spanish-Mexican land grantee José Vicente Feliz.

Los Feliz lies north of East Hollywood and just south of the Santa Monica Mountains, adjacent to the neighborhoods of Hollywood and Silver Lake. Home to the southern face of Griffith Park, the district includes the Griffith Observatory and the Greek Theatre. Los Feliz is bordered by Hollywood Boulevard to the south, Hyperion Avenue to the southeast, Griffith Park to the north, the Los Angeles River to the east, and Western Avenue to the west. It is traversed by Los Feliz Boulevard.

Silver Lake is a residential and commercial neighborhood in the central region of Los Angeles, California, built around a city reservoir which gives the district its name. It’s known for its restaurants and clubs, and many notable people have made their homes there. The neighborhood has three public and four private schools.

Silver Lake is flanked on the northeast by Atwater Village and Elysian Valley, on the southeast by Echo Park, on the southwest by Westlake, on the west by East Hollywood and on the northwest by Los Feliz. Silver Lake, known as one of “the city’s hippest neighborhoods”, has many bars, night clubs and restaurants.

Since the 1990s, Silver Lake has become the center of the alternative and indie rock scene in Los Angeles. The neighborhood was home to two major street festivals each year: the Silver Lake Jubilee, held in May and the Sunset Junction Street Fair, held in August.

Atwater Village is a highly diverse neighborhood in the 13th district of Los Angeles, California, much of which lies in the fertile Los Angeles River flood plain. Located in the northeast region of the city, Atwater borders Griffith Park and Silver Lake to the west, Glendale to the north and east, and Glassell Park to the south. It has three elementary schools—two public and one private.

Atwater Village lies between the Los Angeles River to the west and Glendale to the north and east. In addition, the neighborhood shares borders with the neighborhoods of Silver Lake to the south, Elysian Valley to the southeast, Glassell Park to the northeast, and Los Feliz and Griffith Park across the river to the west. Much of Atwater lies in the old river flood plain, which resulted in deep, fertile soil.

Echo Park is a densely populated neighborhood of 43,000+ residents in the central region of Los Angeles, California. It has one high school and eight other schools. It has been home to many notable people and is centered on the lake of the same name.

Echo Park is flanked by Elysian Valley to the north and northeast, Elysian Park to the east, Chinatown and Downtown to the southeast, Westlake to the southwest and west, and Silver Lake to the northwest.

Boundaries are the Golden State Freeway-Glendale Freeway interchange at the north apex, Riverside Drive on the northeast, Elysian Park on the east, Stadium Way and Beaudry Avenue on the southwest, the south apex being Beaudry Avenue and West Second Street and the west limit being an irregular line consisting of Second Street and Beverly Blvd, then moving upward north along Benton Way and the Glendale Freeway.

Within Echo Park lie the neighborhoods of Angelino Heights, Elysian Heights, Historic Filipinotown, and Victor Heights.

Part of Echo Park is Angelino Heights is most notable for its Victorian era residences, although these are few in number. It lies at an elevation of 502 feet (153 meters).
